नैनीताल ::- 23 दिसंबर भारत में यह दिवस किसान दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन भारत के पांचवें प्रधानमंत्री चौधरी चरण सिंह का जन्म हुआ था, जिन्होंने किसानों के जीवन की स्थितियों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए किसान दिवस की शुरुआत की थी। 2001 में चौधरी चरण सिंह के सम्मान में हर साल 23 दिसंबर को किसान दिवस के रूप में मनाने का फैसला किया। समाज में किसानों को सशक्त बनाने का विचार देता है। 23 दिसंबर 1978 को किसान ट्रस्ट भी बनाया गया जिसमें देश में सभी किसानों के मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाई जा सके।
चौधरी चरण सिंह का जन्म 23 दिसंबर 1902 को यूपी हापुड़ जिले में हुआ था। वह एक़ किसान परिवार से थे। जो हमेशा से ही किसानों की पीड़ा को समझते थे। किसान दिवस कृषि मनाने का उद्देश्य ही समाज में किसानों के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना था। जहाँ पर किसानो की स्थिति ठीक नहीं थी। वो एक़ किसान परिवार से होने पर ही किसानों की हालातों को भली भाँति समझते थे।
चौधरी चरण सिंह का जन्म 23 दिसंबर 1902 को उत्तर प्रदेश के हापुड़ जिले में हुआ था। वह किसान परिवार से थे और किसानों की समस्याओं को अच्छी तरह से समझते थे। किसान दिवस कृषि क्षेत्र की नवीनतम सीखों के साथ समाज के किसानों को सशक्त बनाने का विचार देता है।
