हल्द्वानी::- केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने चार राज्यों व दो केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में बीआरओ द्वारा निर्मित 24 पुल और तीन सड़कों का वर्चुअल लोकार्पण किया। जिसमें उत्तराखण्ड में तीन पुल शामिल हैं। उत्तराखंड में तवाघाट- घतिया बगड़ को जोड़ने वाला घस्कू पुल, जौलजीबी मुनस्यारी को जोड़ने वाले गौरी गाढ पुल, सेमली ग्वालदम को जोड़ने वाला बदामगढ़ पुल का उद्घाटन किया गया। उत्तराखण्ड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय हल्द्वानी मे दीक्षांत समारोह के साथ वर्चुवल वीडियो कांफ्रेसिंग में प्रतिभाग किया।
रक्षा मंत्री ने बधाई देते हुए कहा कि बीआरओ की सड़कें, टनल और पुलों ने स्थानों के बीच की दूरी और समय बहुत कम कर दिया है। उन्होने कहा देश में इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और उसके माध्यम से शिक्षा,स्वास्थ्य,गरीबी उन्मूलन आदि के लिए प्रयास किये जा रहे हैं। बीआरओ भी इसमें अपना योगदान दे रहा है। दूरदराज और सीमावर्ती इलाकों में सड़क,टनल, पुल और अन्य बुनियादी ढांचे का निर्माण कर राष्ट्र की प्रगति में बीआरओ महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका का निर्वहन कर रहा है। शून्य से नीचे के तापमान और अत्यधिक ऊंचाई की अनेक चुनौतियों के बावजूद बीआरओ कार्मिकों के धैर्य, दृढ़ संकल्प और कर्मठता ने ऐतिहासिक कार्य दिखाया है। सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में सड़कें न केवल सामरिक जरूरतों के लिये होती हैं, बल्कि राष्ट्र के विकास में, दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों की भी बराबर भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करती हैं।
इस तरह ये पुल, सड़कें और सुरंगें हमारी सुरक्षा और सम्पूर्ण राष्ट्र को सशक्त करने में अपनी अहम भूमिका निभाती हैं। आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के अंतर्गत देश के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों के 75 स्थानों पर बीआरओ कैफे स्थापित किये जाएंगे।
इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बीआरओ द्वारा निर्मित सङकें और पुल, प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के आत्मनिर्भर भारत के विजन को पूरा करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा उत्तराखण्ड और यहाँ के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले नागरिकों को इसका लाभ मिलेगा।
इसी दौरान वर्चुवल वीडियो काफ्रेसिंग में कुलपति प्रो.ओम प्रकाश सिह नेगी,आयुक्त दीपक रावत, डीआईजी नीलेश आनंद भरणे, जिलाधिकारी धीराज सिह गर्ब्याल, एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट इत्यादि लोग मौजूद रहें।
